Whittier - Juneau - Sitka

On the 3d of August we took a ferry from Whittier to Juneau. We spend 2 days on the boat. The sea was rough. We arrived in Juneau on the 5th and left on 7th in the morning. For two days we spent there it was raining except when we were leaving  The fast ferry (4.5 hours) brought us to Sitka and we stayed there till the 9th when we flew to Anchorage.

Finally! Pictures from the trip!
Remote areas in Alaska. Ferry is the only way to get to most of them. Very interesting and beautiful. Wildlife. There are no trees except the ones brought by people. I don't know why they did it. Some cities used to be army bases.
About the ferry. M/V Tustumena. Capacity is about 200 people. Not sure ) I was on a wheel for about an hour. And it was the most exciting experience ever! Very nice crew memebers (of course, otherwise they wouldn't let me do it  .
I saw sea otters, lots of birds and whales.
